Prof. Dr Claudia de Witt

Claudia de Witt is Professor of Educational Theory and Media Education and Vice-Rector for Teaching, Student Studies and AI in Educational Processes at the FernUniversität in Hagen. Her research and teaching focus on education and digitalisation, artificial intelligence in higher education, and the design of innovative digital teaching and learning processes in various educational contexts. She is responsible for the BMFTR project ‘Strengthening AI Competences at Higher Education Institutions’ at the FernUniversität; the focus of which is on strengthening AI skills at higher education institutions in North Rhine-Westphalia through the individual curation of AI Campus learning content and formats, on providing didactic and technical advice in accordance with ethical principles, on the design and implementation of community formats for AI skills in higher education, and on hosting the AI Campus Moodle instances. She also chairs the AI Steering Group at the FernUniversität.
