Our mission: We strengthen AI skills through free, digital learning opportunities for everyone.
The AI Campus is the Stifterverband’s learning platform for artificial intelligence. With free online courses, videos, podcasts and tools, we, as a public interest initiative, strengthen AI skills in society. Collaboration and openness are guiding principles for our work.
The Stifterverband is responsible for the AI Campus office and coordinates several projects together with numerous partners. The FernUniversität in Hagen operates the Moodle LMS (Learning Management System) of the AI Campus. The founding members of the AI Campus and previous project partners are listed in the Projects section.
Over 100,000 learners are already using the AI Campus.
By 2030, we aim to have reached 500,000 people and at least 100 higher education institutions with our learning opportunities.
Learners are at the centre of everything we do. Our aim is to provide them with a diverse selection of high-quality learning opportunities on artificial intelligence, all in one place – free of charge, open and practice-oriented. We believe in collaboration: excellent universities and partners from industry work together with Stifterverband to develop suitable learning opportunities for different target groups.
All learning opportunities are available free of charge. Our own courses are also under an open licence (CC BY-SA 4.0) and can be used flexibly elsewhere.
The range of topics covers AI fundamentals, including in the context of the AI Act, interdisciplinary questions and in-depth content in areas such as machine learning. In addition, we offer online courses that specifically address the needs of particular disciplines and professional groups – for example, in medicine, schools, higher education or administration.
With the "Zukunftsmission Bildung" (education mission for the future), the Stifterverband aims to shape an education system for a world in transition that quickly trains and upskills more people with the necessary skills. To this end, it brings together relevant stakeholders from business, academia, and civil society in a joint initiative.
Within the Zukunftsmission Bildung, the AI Campus makes a key contribution to the Alliance for Future Skills with the goal of ensuring that all higher education institutions in Germany firmly integrate AI skills into their educational offerings.
