The AI Campus is the learning platform for Artificial Intelligence with free online courses, videos, podcasts and tools to strengthen AI competences.

The AI Campus is aimed at students, professionals and other lifelong learners interested in Artificial Intelligence. It is also aimed at universities, research institutions and companies that wish to participate in the AI Campus with their own learning opportunities, or wish to integrate learning opportunities from the AI Campus into their teaching.

All learning opportunities on the AI Campus are free of charge. In addition, all original content from the AI Campus is available under an open licence (usually CC BY-SA 4.0), which allows free re-use and, for example, integration into your own teaching. Curated opportunities are only selected if they are freely accessible as a basic offer. Costs may only be incurred for examinations and the issuing of certificates if these are external learning opportunities recommended on the AI Campus.

The vision of the AI Campus is a society competent in AI. The learning platform aims to impart knowledge about Artificial Intelligence and inspire more people to engage with the topic. Learners should be empowered to understand AI developments, critically question them, and actively help shape them. In this way, the AI Campus addresses the acute shortage of skilled professionals and at the same time promotes a responsible and informed approach to Artificial Intelligence in society.

From podcasts and videos through to courses and “Micro-Degrees” – the AI Campus offers learners a wide range of high-quality learning opportunities on various aspects of Artificial Intelligence, all bundled together on one platform. All offerings are designed to teach AI competences at an academic level. Our own learning content, called “AI Campus Originals”, is developed specifically for the AI Campus. Existing learning opportunities from other platforms are chosen according to academic quality standards and recommended on the AI Campus as “External”. Our learning opportunities are openly licensed and available free of charge.

The AI Campus covers both fundamentals and interdisciplinary questions as well as more in-depth topics in specific areas and fields of Artificial Intelligence, such as Machine Learning. There are also targeted offerings addressing the specific needs of individual professions and disciplines, such as AI in Medicine or AI in Education. The learning opportunities are continuously expanded.

No particular specialist prior knowledge is required for introductory learning opportunities. Advanced opportunities do, however, require relevant prior knowledge, which is stated in the description of each learning opportunity. All learning opportunities are designed to impart AI competences at an academic level.

You do not generally need to be enrolled at a university in order to use the online learning opportunities on the AI Campus. For some courses, however, integration into a degree programme is possible in a blended learning format, which also ensures ECTS recognition. Enrolment is required in these individual cases.

For selected courses, ECTS credits can be awarded and may be recognised or counted by the relevant university. However, the AI Campus cannot offer any general guarantee of recognition. Please contact your university directly regarding your specific query.

To register with us, first visit our website and sign up there. After registration, you will receive an email with a verification link. Click on this link to set your password.

Please note that the verification link is only valid for 24 hours and can only be used once. If you cannot find the email, please check your spam folder. Should you experience difficulties using the link to set your password and receive a message saying "The link is no longer valid", this may be because your email provider has already clicked the link as part of phishing protection. In this case, please use a different email address for registration. In most cases, this works without any issues.

While we regret that you wish to delete your account on the AI Campus, we want to make the process as easy as possible. Visit the AI Campus website at https://ki-campus.org/. Click your avatar at the top right and select Profile. Choose Edit profile, scroll all the way down and click Delete user account. 

Currently, certificates of participation can be obtained for all online courses on the learning platform, and, for selected courses, records of achievement as well. The following applies for all online courses on the AI Campus learning platform: All those who have accessed at least 50 percent of the learning content will receive an AI Campus certificate of participation. An AI Campus record of achievement is awarded to anyone who has obtained at least 60 percent of the possible total points on all graded assignments in the course. You can find more information on the AI Campus certificates, which are being gradually trialled and implemented, in our blog post.

To find your courses: Visit the AI Campus website at https://ki-campus.org/. Click your avatar at the top right and choose My courses. You will automatically be redirected to the learning environment where you will have access to your already enrolled courses

Some learning opportunities can be completed flexibly at your own pace, while others have time restrictions. You can find this information in the description of the relevant learning opportunity.

In the overview of learning opportunities you can use various filters. For instance, you can filter by difficulty level, choosing between “Beginner”, “Advanced”, and “Expert”. Your choice will also, of course, depend on which subject areas you would like to pursue further or whether you have a specific learning goal in mind. There is no fixed learning path, so simply browse the learning opportunities again on the AI Campus.

If you have forgotten your password, you can easily reset it. Follow these steps: Click on “Login” in the menu at the top right of the website. In the login window, choose the “Reset password” link below the input fields. You will then receive an email with a link to set a new password. Please note that this email may occasionally land in your spam folder. Once you have set your new password, you can log in again using your username and new password.

You can make certain changes to your profile yourself, including changing your profile picture, password and your email address (the username is excluded).

Here’s how: Click your avatar at the top right of the website. Select “Profile”. Then click “Edit profile” and follow the instructions on the page to make your desired changes. Don’t forget to save your changes at the end!

Cooperation with other platforms and initiatives is a guiding principle in the implementation of the AI Campus. Some learning opportunities are also available in English. You can set the language via the filter option in the overview of learning opportunities. The range of English language options is continually being expanded.

We use generative AI tools to support the creation of online courses, blog posts and texts for our public relations work. All AI-generated content is subsequently editorially reviewed and adapted where necessary. AI-generated images are labelled by us.

We provide our registered learners with AI chatbots to help them select suitable learning opportunities and answer content-related questions. Through our LLM chat they can also experiment with various large language models (LLMs), without personal data being transmitted to the underlying AI providers.

We are aware that our learning platform is currently not yet fully accessible. Nevertheless, we are actively working to improve accessibility and are committed to making our learning content accessible to all participants.
