Prof. Wolfgang Nejdl

Prof. Nejdl is full professor of computer science at Leibniz Universität Hannover and heads the L3S Research Center. He was PI of the ERC Advanced Grant ALEXANDRIA, which focused on search, exploration and analytics in web archives. Recent projects include the European ITNs NoBIAS, Cleopatra and KnowGraphs, the European Digital Innovation Hub DAISEC, and the CAIMed Center for AI and Medicine. He is interested both in symbolic as well as neural approaches to AI, possibly coupled with information retrieval, and works on applications of AI to medicine, production, mobility and education.
