Uwe Elsholz is Vice-Rector for Continuing Education, Transfer and Internationalisation at the FernUniversität in Hagen. He also holds a professorship for lifelong learning there and is involved in the scientific management of the research focus on work - education - digitalisation. He completed his studies at the Universities of Konstanz, Hanover and the FernUniversität with a degree in social sciences. His doctorate at the Helmut Schmidt University in Hamburg deals with networks as a form of learning and his habilitation at the TU Hamburg with concepts of corporate learning. His current research focuses on the use of digital media in vocational and corporate learning, Micro-Credentials and the relationship between academic and vocational training.
