AI Literacy Framework published by OECD and the European Commission

The AI Literacy Framework is a joint initiative of the European Commission and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). CodeAI as well as leading international experts have supported its development. The framework contributes to the PISA study 2029, which, for the first time, will assess “Media & AI Literacy”.

The Stifterverband was represented in the expert group that developed the framework and coordinated a task force that provided comprehensive feedback from German education stakeholders. In addition, the Stifterverband was responsible for the German translation of the framework – from clarifying terminology to ensuring its compatibility with the German education context.

The AI Campus, in cooperation with education partners, is developing digital learning opportunities relating to the framework, which are being gradually published on the learning platform.
