Overview
This online course is offered by the Baden-Württemberg State Medical Council as medical continuing education (CME) for physicians. You can access registration and the course via the State Medical Association by clicking the View offer button. Registration/login with the Baden-Württemberg State Medical Association is required.
With this interactive online course, you will develop a conceptual understanding of the use of AI in various medical fields of application. Experts in clinical neuroimaging, oncology, intensive care medicine and other fields provide insight into concrete scenarios and current research projects in which AI is already in use or may be used in the future. Various types of exercises are designed to help you acquire the necessary basic knowledge in an accessible way.
What content can I expect?
- Deep learning in neuroimaging
- Brain-computer interfaces in neurotechnology
- Clinical databases in transplant medicine
- Method development and drug design in drug development
- Machine Learning models in oncology
- Routine data and data use in intensive care medicine
What will I achieve?
Upon completion of the course, you will be able to...
- describe the impact that standardisation and modelling of data in databases have on subsequent AI models in the clinical field.
- explain, using nephrology and intensive care medicine as examples, the connections between databases and AI-based classification models.
- basically describe which data a neural network needs in order to train a classification or prediction model and which parameters are used to measure success rates.
What requirements do I need?
- Basic prior knowledge of AI, for example from "Dr. med. AI – Basics for Medical Practitioners"
