Christian Willems ist seit 2012 technischer Leiter von openHPI, der MOOC-Plattform des Hasso-Plattner-Instituts. Dort ist er für Betrieb und Weiterentwicklung der Plattformsoftware sowie für die Kooperation mit Partnern im Bereich Enterprise oder Corporate Education verantwortlich. Außerdem verantwortet er als Chief Information Security Officer am Hasso-Plattner-Institut die Informationssicherheit.
