Philipp Gerbert is General Managing Director of the TUM Venture Labs (www.tum-venture-labs.de) and board member of appliedAI.
By background Philipp is a physicist, with a Master from LMU Munich/MPI and a PhD from MIT. Later, he worked for McKinsey, the McKenna Group (Silicon Valley) and as Senior Partner for the Boston Consulting Group, focusing on technology-driven businesses. At BCG, he built up AI in Business (and as a hobby: Quantum Computing), as well as Climate Action.

Dr. Andreas Liebl is Managing Director of the appliedAI Initiative GmbH and the appliedAI Insititute for Europe gGmbH with the goal of empowering professionals in Europe to responsibly develop and apply AI systems to help shape the world we want to live in. He is a member of the Global Partnership on AI, where he serves as an expert on AI innovation and commercialisation, among other advisory roles. Prior to his current role, he was Managing Director of UnternehmerTUM, worked at McKinsey and did his PhD at the Chair of Entrepreneurship at TU Munich.

Alexander Waldmann is Director of "Technology and Operations" at appliedAI and has many years of experience in the application of AI, including as Visionary Lead for "Artificial Intelligence & Mixed Reality" at UnternehmerTUM and as founder of waldmann.AI. Alexander is co-founder of TECHFEST-Munich, Hack&Talk, TechTalents and FC Bayern Hackdays. Previously, he was a research assistant at the TU Munich, where he also completed his studies in computer science, including a guest residency at MIT.
