Jonas Amling is a Data Scientist at DAB (Daten – Analysen & Beratung GmbH) and an external doctoral candidate with Stephan Scheele. He holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from Maastricht University and both bachelor's and master's degrees in Applied Computer Science from Otto Friedrich University. His research focuses particularly on explainable AI for clustering.
Stephan Scheele is Professor of Theoretical Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at OTH Regensburg. Previously, he was Senior Scientist and Deputy Group Leader of the "Comprehensible Artificial Intelligence" project group at Fraunhofer IIS in Erlangen, as well as a postdoc at the Chair of Cognitive Systems under Prof. Ute Schmid at the University of Bamberg. He studied Business Informatics (Diploma, TH Deggendorf) and Computer Science (M.Sc., University of Ulm), and received his PhD in Bamberg in 2015 on constructive description logics in knowledge representation. He then worked for several years as Lead Software Architect at Robert Bosch GmbH in Renningen. His research focuses are knowledge representation, neuro-symbolic AI, as well as hybrid and explainable methods for trustworthy AI systems.
