Generative AI & chatbots

Dr. Eleftherios Avramidis is a Senior Researcher at the German Research Center for AI (DFKI) at the departments of Speech and Language Technology and Interactive Textiles, whereas he has been leading workshops related to machine learning at the TU and the UdK Berlin. His research interests are in fields of Machine Translation and Sign Language Translation.

Dr. Aljoscha Burchardt is Principal Researcher, Research Fellow and Deputy Spokesperson of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI GmbH) in Berlin. He is an expert in language technology and artificial intelligence. He was also an expert member of the Enquete Commission "Artificial Intelligence" of the German Bundestag.

Irene Weber holds a degree in computer science and works as a professor of information systems at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. In an interdisciplinary environment, she is concerned with digitalization and Industry 4.0, artificial intelligence, data visualization and with Conversational Artificial Intelligence. She is also interested in open source software and its use of for companies.

Prof. Dr Doris Weßels is Professor of Business Informatics with a focus on Project Management and Natural Language Processing at Kiel University of Applied Sciences. After studying mathematics, business administration and computer science at the WWU in Münster, she completed her doctorate at the Institute of Finance and Investment at the University of Oldenburg. On 1 September 2022, she founded the Virtual Centre of Excellence "Teaching and Learning Writing with Artificial Intelligence - Tools and Techniques for Education and Science" together with the associated partner KI-Campus and other experts and teachers from German universities in the fields of computer science, educational research and writing didactics: https://www.ki-schreiben-lehren-lernen.de/.

Theresa Lemm ist wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am Hasso-Plattner-Institut und dort für die Entwicklung eines Chatbots zuständig. Nach Abschluss ihres Bachelorstudiums am HPI arbeitete sie bei SAP im Silicon Valley an einer Bot-Building-Plattform. Dieses Thema begleitete sie auch durch ihr Masterstudium am HPI, das sie mit ihrer Masterarbeit über das Thema „Dialogbasierte Systeme im Bereich der E-Learning Applikationen“ erfolgreich abgeschlossen hat.
