Overview
In this course, you will explore the framework conditions and practical approaches for using AI as a tool and a method in dual vocational education and training. Starting from the current state of digitalisation in vocational education, the prerequisites for using AI in companies and schools will be examined. Afterwards, possible applications of AI in workplace and classroom learning environments will be presented, and limitations and boundaries will be discussed.

- Intelligent tutoring systems, chatbots and pedagogical agents
What will I achieve?
Upon completion of the course:
- you will know which challenges are associated with the digitalisation of teaching and learning processes in vocational education
- you will know which prerequisites must be met for the use of AI in vocational education
- you will be familiar with various AI-related technologies and able to reflect on their possible applications in vocational teaching and learning contexts
- you will be able to meaningfully enrich workplace and school-based teaching and learning situations didactically by using AI tools
