AI_VET I - AI in the context of teaching and learning

This introductory course lays the foundations for the topic of AI in vocational education and training. The first part of the course focuses on getting to know teaching, learning, and artificial intelligence from the perspective of vocational education. The second part of the course examines the potential and challenges of AI in vocational education and training.

• Fundamentals of designing digital teaching and learning contexts
• Fundamentals of AI in vocational education contexts
• Changes in collaboration between humans and computers due to AI
• Indicators for the application of AI systems in the education sector

Upon completion of the course:

• you will know principles for the design of digitally supported learning environments and be able to assess the potential of digitally assisted learning
• you will have a basic understanding of artificial intelligence and be able to comprehend its development paths
• you will understand the changes in collaboration between humans and computers brought about by AI and recognise the resulting potential
• you will know areas of application for AI in education, be able to assess the potential of AI in an educational context and understand key research areas concerning AI in education
